WHY WE GIVE
Everything we have belongs to God, so we manage those resources by giving. Our tithes and offerings help represent our love for God and our neighbors. Each commitment supports the church's ministry and mission.
3 Reasons To Give
Giving is an act of worship. God gave us the world, so we give in thanks to his creations.
A church can't thrive without its members. For this reason, we hope each person will commit a percentage of their income and increase that amount as they are able.
Annual giving allows us to worship, provide programs for children and students, host Bible studies and small groups. It also makes congregational care, mission trips and local service projects possible.
Designated Funds
JCUMC encourages your gifts to the church’s general operating fund. These gifts support the ministries, missions, facilities, and the growth of the church.
There will be several opportunities throughout the year to give to designated JCUMC supported charities, such as Rise Against Hunger, Summit Counseling Client Assistance fund, UMCOR, Adopt a Family/Norcross Ministry Christmas fund and other North GA conference special offerings. Please visit the Serve page for these opportunities. (link)
JCUMC does accept other designated contributions to the following funds; Benevolence Funds including the Pastoral, Helping Hands and Mission funds and the Building/Capital fund. Please click on the link below to see more info on these funds. To give to any of these funds, please indicate on your check or online in the memo field.
WHAT IS
STEWARDSHIP?
Being good stewards is how we provide room for spiritual growth through worship, ministry, and missions. Giving upholds thriving programs and encourages the creation of new ones. It's how Johns Creek United Methodist Church meets the needs of the community. It's how we give thanks for God's creation and caring heart.
HOW DO I GIVE MY
TIME & TALENT?
First, we encourage you to find your spiritual gifts. These help determine the areas of ministry that you'd most likely thrive in. This test shouldn't restrict you, however. If you feel called to participate in a certain ministry area of Johns Creek UMC, we encourage you to talk to a pastor. This is an invitation to volunteer, to lead, and to even create your own ministry if you feel lead.
The button below will take to more information on our Time and Talent process, including a Spiritual Gifts test and a list of our ministries and committees.
