Everyone volunteering at vacation Bible school this summer is welcome to attend our orientation on Sunday, May 3rd, in the Children’s Chapel. We will go over the songs and dances, the theme of the week, collect everyone’s t-shirt sizes, and share everything everyone needs to know! A pizza lunch will be served.

Graduate Recognition Sunday will be May 3rd at both the 9:45 am Modern Worship Service and the 11:00 am Traditional Worship Service.

Sunday, April 26th the United Methodist Men will be hosting a BBQ lunch to raise funds for the Youth program. They will be serving pulled pork, coleslaw, chips, hot dogs, and drinks in the Worship Life Center.

Sunday, April 26th, we will have one worship service, combining elements from all three of our weekly worship services: Modern, Korean language, and Traditional.

The final J.O.Y. Luncheon of the season will be held on April 12th at noon in the Gathering Room.

You’re invited to Egg Extravaganza, Saturday April 4th!  An Easter celebration with egg hunts, games, food, the Easter Bunny, and more eggs and candy than you can imagine!

Join us for a Tenebrae service featuring music from the Chancel Choir. This will be a service of scripture readings, stripping of the altar and music.

A service of communion, prayers, and homily, as we remember the Last Supper. This traditional service will be held in the Worship Life Center from 7:00-8:00 pm.

The J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) group invites you to a friendly game of BINGO with modest prizes for the winner of each game. Light snacks, tea, lemonade, and water are included. There is no charge to play.

J.O.Y. travelers, we are on the road again to see 20 million + daffodils and much more at Gibbs Gardens. Please join us on Tuesday, March 24th, as we head to Gibbs Gardens, Ball Ground, GA. Cost $18.00 for an individual ticket.

Ladies from the Mercy MATTers Group will demonstrate how to fold, cut, and make plarn out of grocery bags and then loom the plarn to make matts for the homeless.

The J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, after the Traditional Worship in the Gathering Room. We gather for fellowship and a delicious lunch from Cracker Barrel. The cost is $15.00. Please RSVP by noon on Tuesday, March 3rd. 

Trivia night is almost here! Don’t miss one of the most exciting events of the year at JCUMC. All proceeds benefit our youth mission trips this summer. A table for a team of 8 is $160. An individual ticket can be purchased for $25. Childcare (nursery-5th grade) provided upon request. Registration is due Wednesday March 4th.

Join us as our youth lead both services on Sunday, March 1st! We will continue our Lenten theme with a service focused on “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

On Saturday, February 28th, from 9 am to 5 pm, all women are invited to come be a part of our UWF Women's Retreat. Author Kathleen Edelman will present a workshop based on her book I Said This, You Heard That. The cost is $70 for the day, which includes breakfast and lunch in addition to the color study assessment (to be taken ahead of the event).

Join us on Sunday, February 22nd from 12-1 pm, as we begin the Lenten journey with a prayer journal workshop. We’ll demystify prayer journals, try out a few simple practices, and actually set up our journals together. All supplies will be provided as we create space to slow down, pay attention, and listen for God.

Join us on Ash Wednesday, February 18, as we begin the 40-day journey through Lent. Our Ash Wednesday Worship service will take place at 6:30pm in the sanctuary and will be led by our children’s choirs and chancel choir.

This Drive-thru Ash Wednesday service offers a quick, convenient way for busy individuals to receive ashes and a blessing from your vehicle. 12-1 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Tuesday, February 17th, is Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras. That evening, we will be hosting a church-wide come-and-go pancake dinner from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Our annual Pizza & Palms event will take place on Wednesday, February 11. ALL are welcome to join us as we burn last year's palm branches to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. Pizza dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm in the Worship Life Center.
