Meet & Greets
You have an opportunity to meet & spend time with Pastor Steven and his wife, Julie, at one of the Meet & Greets scheduled in July, August and September! There will be time to mix and mingle, but more importantly, time for Pastor Steven to get to know us and gather information about our congregation.
Dad Camp 2026
Join us as we continue the tradition of a fun time with kids and their dads/grandads/uncles. We will do a creek walk, roast smores, do a talent show and enjoy each other's company in a beautiful setting.
Midweek Kids Kickoff
Our Wednesday night kid’s programming starts back on Wednesday, August 12th with dinner, children’s choirs, J-Walkers in the Worship Life Center.
ESL Welcome Party
Help us extend a warm welcome to our new and returning English as a Second Language students. Join us for the Welcome Party on Sunday, August 9, whether you can greet, serve refreshments, or simply spend time getting to know our students, we'd love to have you join us.

J.O.Y. Lunches take place once a month (August through April) in the Gathering Room after the 11 am worship service.
Blessing of the Backpacks
Sunday, August 2nd, at both the 9:45 & 11:00 am worship services, we will be blessing backpacks as kids and teachers prepare for another school year. Families are asked to bring their book bags and backpacks to worship as we invoke God's guidance and protection for students, teachers, and the entire school community as they embark on a new academic year.

July Book Club
Summer Book Club is Back! Join us as we read a selected book and then gather for a time of discussion at the end of the month. The Book Club selection for July is Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. July book club will meet on Sunday, July 26th at 4 pm in room 207.
Children's Sunday School Teacher Orientation
With a new curriculum for Children's Sunday School this fall, we are excited to host a Teacher Orientation for ANYONE who wants to learn more about teaching Sunday School. This is open to all past present and future teachers!
EPiC Sundae Party
We are inviting all of our EPiC families to join us for an ice cream sundae party on Sunday, July 19, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. We will have ice cream treats with all the toppings and a bunch of fun games set up in the chapel.
Summer Movie Night
Mark your calendars for Friday, July 17th! We are going to have our second annual Summer Family Movie Night! Bring a blanket, some pillows and let's get comfortable in the Worship Life Center as we enjoy an evening of family friendly fun! We will have popcorn and water; if you would like to bring some snacks of your own, you are welcome to.

Hymn Sing & Potluck Lunch
Hymn Singing & Potluck Lunch: hosted by the JCUMC J.O.Y. Singers. On Thursday, July 9th, from noon to 2:30 pm, join us for a time of music and fellowship as we sing the old songs of our faith. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish or dessert to share.
Summer Choir
Sunday, July 5th through Sunday, August 2nd, our Summer Choir will be leading in the Traditional Worship Service.

Each Sunday in July all of the 9:45 am Sunday School classes will join together in study. Donuts and coffee at 9:30 am.
GROW Day Camp
The Johns Creek UMC location for Grow Day Camp is active right now for anyone who wants to register early for Grow Day Camp this summer! It's June 29-July 3 (five days) from 9am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs, and 9am-12:30pm on Friday. Drop off/check in begins at 8:30am each day.
This is for children in Rising 1st-6th grades.
June Book Club
Summer Book Club is Back! Join us as we read a selected book and then gather for a time of discussion at the end of the month. The Book Club selection for June is The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. The Great Divorce (1945) is a theological, allegorical fantasy novel by C.S. Lewis that explores the profound, irreconcilable differences between Heaven and Hell, good and evil, and the necessity of choice. It follows an unnamed narrator on a dream-bus journey from a gloomy, endless city (Hell) to the vibrant, solid, and joyous landscape of Heaven. Summer Book Club will meet on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in room 207with a discussion led by Pastor Jennifer.
Donuts with Dads
On Sunday, June 21st, Father's Day, we will be having "Donuts With Dads" during our Sunday School hour in the Gathering Room from 9:45am-10:45am. Gluten free options will also be available. This event is for all children and fathers and father-like figures in their lives. Everyone is welcome. This pre-empts our regular Sunday School program so we can share sugar with all the children and their parents.

VBS 2026
Vacation Bible School is a week dedicated to sharing God’s love with the children of our community. Through singing, dancing, Bible storytelling, crafts, games, and science experiments, children will be made aware over and over again of God’s amazing love for each of them!

Rise Against Hunger Pickleball Tournament
The Rise Against Hunger Pickleball Tournament is taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM EDT. The event will be held at Life Time Peachtree Corners, located at 6350 Courtside Dr. NW, Peachtree Corners, Georgia. In 2025, enough money was raised to provide 250 kids meals for an entire school year and sold out on Pickleball teams.

VBS Volunteer Orientation
Everyone volunteering at vacation Bible school this summer is welcome to attend our orientation on Sunday, May 3rd, in the Children’s Chapel. We will go over the songs and dances, the theme of the week, collect everyone’s t-shirt sizes, and share everything everyone needs to know! A pizza lunch will be served.
Graduate Recognition Sunday
Graduate Recognition Sunday will be May 3rd at both the 9:45 am Modern Worship Service and the 11:00 am Traditional Worship Service.

United Methodist Men BBQ
Sunday, April 26th the United Methodist Men will be hosting a BBQ lunch to raise funds for the Youth program. They will be serving pulled pork, coleslaw, chips, hot dogs, and drinks in the Worship Life Center.
Combined Worship Service
Sunday, April 26th, we will have one worship service, combining elements from all three of our weekly worship services: Modern, Korean language, and Traditional.
