Youth Trivia Night
Trivia night is almost here! Don’t miss one of the most exciting events of the year at JCUMC. All proceeds benefit our youth mission trips this summer. A table for a team of 8 is $160. An individual ticket can be purchased for $25. Childcare (nursery-5th grade) provided upon request. Registration is due Wednesday March 4th.
March J.O.Y. Luncheon
The J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, after the Traditional Worship in the Gathering Room. We gather for fellowship and a delicious lunch from Cracker Barrel. The cost is $15.00. Please RSVP by noon on Tuesday, March 3rd.

March Discovery Luncheon

Mercy MATTers Group Training
Ladies from the Mercy MATTers Group will demonstrate how to fold, cut, and make plarn out of grocery bags and then loom the plarn to make matts for the homeless.
GROW Day Camp
The Johns Creek UMC location for Grow Day Camp is active right now for anyone who wants to register early for Grow Day Camp this summer! It's June 29-July 3 (five days) from 9am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs, and 9am-12:30pm on Friday. Drop off/check in begins at 8:30am each day.
This is for children in Rising 1st-6th grades.
Youth Sunday
Join us as our youth lead both services on Sunday, March 1st! We will continue our Lenten theme with a service focused on “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
UWF Retreat
On Saturday, February 28th, from 9 am to 5 pm, all women are invited to come be a part of our UWF Women's Retreat. Author Kathleen Edelman will present a workshop based on her book I Said This, You Heard That. The cost is $70 for the day, which includes breakfast and lunch in addition to the color study assessment (to be taken ahead of the event).

Lenten Prayer Journal Workshop
Join us on Sunday, February 22nd from 12-1 pm, as we begin the Lenten journey with a prayer journal workshop. We’ll demystify prayer journals, try out a few simple practices, and actually set up our journals together. All supplies will be provided as we create space to slow down, pay attention, and listen for God.
February EPiC Dance
We are so excited to have your Exceptional Person join us for our next EPiC Dance on Friday, February 20th from 6:00-7:30 pm. It is going to be a great night of dancing, snacks, crafts, and fun!
Ash Wednesday Service
Join us on Ash Wednesday, February 18, as we begin the 40-day journey through Lent. Our Ash Wednesday Worship service will take place at 6:30pm in the sanctuary and will be led by our children’s choirs and chancel choir.
Ash Wednesday: Drive thru ashes
This Drive-thru Ash Wednesday service offers a quick, convenient way for busy individuals to receive ashes and a blessing from your vehicle. 12-1 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Pancake Supper
Tuesday, February 17th, is Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras. That evening, we will be hosting a church-wide come-and-go pancake dinner from 5:00-7:00 pm.
February J.O.Y. Luncheon
The J.O.Y (Just Older Youth) Luncheon will be held on February15, 2026 after the Traditional Worship. We gather for fellowship and a delicious lunch from City BBQ. The cost is $15.00. Please RSVP by Tuesday, February 10th.
Pizza & Palms
Our annual Pizza & Palms event will take place on Wednesday, February 11. ALL are welcome to join us as we burn last year's palm branches to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. Pizza dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm in the Worship Life Center.

Wall of Hope
This May, we are sending 25 of our youth and adults to Guatemala on a mission trip. Our mission partner for February, Mission Guatemala, will be our host. As a way of fundraising, you are invited to take an envelope or 2 from our Wall of Hope to make a donation towards our team’s trip.
Intermediate Enneagram Study
This study is designed for people with a basic understanding of the Enneagram who want to apply it more effectively to their spiritual life.
New Bible Study
This January, Pastor Max and Pastor Jennifer will co-teach a Bible study focused on the questions people actually ask: about Scripture, God, theology, and the life of the church (including the ones you’ve always wondered about but weren’t sure you were allowed to ask).
Senior Bingo
The J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) group is sponsoring a senior Bingo session on Wednesday, January 7th from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM in the Gathering room at JCUMC.
Combined Worship Service
We will have only one combined worship service on Sunday, December 28th, at 10 am in the Sanctuary.
Live Nativity
Join us for a Live Nativity on Sunday, December 21st, featuring the Youth of Johns Creek UMC, with performances at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00
pm in the Worship Life Center. There will be animals under the portico closest to the staff offices for petting. Hot chocolate and cookies will be
served. Be sure to invite friends and neighbors to share in this event.
Children's Christmas Village
Our annual Advent Event is being renamed “Children’s Christmas Village” and this year will take place on Sunday, Dec 21 from 4pm-5:30pm, after which visitors are welcome to stay for our live nativity.
Parent's Night Out
Our High School and College students are sponsoring a Parent's Night Out at JCUMC on Friday December 19th from 5:30-9pm. All of funds raised will be going towards our HS and College Mission trip to Guatemala this summer.
Longest Night Service
Thursday, December 18th the church will hold a Longest Night Service. This special service gives space to acknowledge that the holiday season is often a difficult time for those who are grieving a loss. Through a mixture of carols, scripture, and prayers, we hear that the light of Christmas hope breaks through the darkness of sadness and grief. We are reminded that the love of God for us is expressed in the birth of Jesus Christ. We are not alone. God is with us. Please join us for the Longest Night Service at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Life Center.

J.O.Y. Trips: Christmas Tour of the Governor's Mansion
All J.O.Y. 60+ (Just Older Youth) are invited to attend a Christmas Tour of the Governor's Mansion on Tuesday, December 9th. Meet at the Governor's Mansion, 10:00 AM.
Christmas at the Creek
Join us on Sunday, December 7 at 6pm for Christmas at the Creek! This free concert is offered as a gift from JCUMC to the community. A love offering will be collected to help offset the cost. The Christmas at the Creek theme for 2025 is “Dreams of the Season.” All are invited to attend and hear songs about love, family, snow, joy, and peace on earth.
UWF Cookie Sale
The UWF Cookie Sale returns on December 7th from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm in the Gathering room. Come and pick up your favorite cookies for yourself or to share with others. This sale supports the UWF service projects, such as Drake House and other mission and outreach programs. Last year's cookie sale raised around $1,600 for conference missions. This year there will be prepacked cookie boxes in addition to the fill it yourself style boxes. There will also be an Allergy Zone table set up for shoppers who have special dietary restrictions. Boxes are $10 per dozen cookies.
December Bible Study
Dreaming of a Savior: Joseph’s Dreams About Jesus. In the first two chapter of Matthew, God visits Joseph in four dreams. Join us as we explore what these dreams tell about the birth and mission of Jesus.
Poinsettias
Poinsettias are used to decorate the Sanctuary and Worship Life Center for Christmas. You may order poinsettias and dedicate them in memory of or in honor of a loved one. The names of honorees and donors will appear in the order of worship on Sunday, December 21st, for those who place their order by Monday, December 8th. You may pick up your poinsettias after the Christmas Eve service on December 24th.
Advent Wreath Making Workshop
Come kick off the Advent season on November 30! We will be making Advent Wreaths under the portico after the 11 am service. All ages are welcome and all supplies will be provided. Please RSVP to ensure we have enough supplies.
Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner
Wednesday, November 19th at 5:30pm in the Worship Life Center.
Our mid-week program children would like to invite EVERYONE to our 2025 annual Thanksgiving Potluck! Bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish, socialize, laugh, do some crafts, and enjoy an evening of fellowship.
