Join Together July 2019

Back to Our Roots

Returning to the basics of The United Methodist faith.

Throughout the month of July we will be discussing the polity, history, theology, and mission of The United Methodist Church denomination. Each week, we will have coffee and donuts, sing a traditional Methodist hymn, and learn the basics of what makes The United Methodist Church different from other denominations.

9:30 AM Donuts & Coffee  |  9:45 AM Join Together July

July 7 - History     Rev. Allen Johnson, Associate Pastor
Join us as we go back to where it all began and look at the birth of the Methodist Movement.
July 14 - Mission     Rev. Judy Chung, Executive Director of Missionary Service for the General Board of Global Ministries
Come learn about how the UMC began as a missional movement and how we are called to be in mission together now.

July 21 - Theology     Rev. Lori Osborn, Associate Pastor
While we share much in common with many of our Christian siblings, we will look at some of the distinct theological ideas that shape our understanding of God, the world, and others.
July 28 - Polity     Rev. Jane Brooks, Assistant to the Bishop
Ever wondered why we do things a certain way as United Methodists?   Come learn about the polity and structure of our beloved United Methodist Church!
