Where is God in Suffering? | Wednesday Evening at 7 PM on Zoom, 3 Weeks
This class, led by Alex Daly, our Candler School Intern, analyzes the different ways that Christians have understood the presence of suffering and evil in the world and subsequently God's response to the suffering and evil that occurs. In this three-week study, attendees will locate their own position regarding the justification of suffering in the world (otherwise known as theodicy). This class is also concerned with how our theological views on suffering determine the way that we respond to those that suffer. Therefore, we will discuss the practical concern that accompanies suffering and the theological concerns.
Begins April 14
