JCUMC partners with Mission Guatemala by sending mission teams each year to Panajachel, Guatemala and supporting a feeding center in the same region. They serve with Rev. Tom Heaton and Mission Guatemala. The teams help with the installation of energy efficient stoves in homes where many families cook over an open fire on the floor of their home. They also build furniture for the school and assist in the construction of homes.

Thanks to the generous donations from the congregation of Johns Creek UMC, over 100 children are fed each day through the JCUMC Feeding Center in Xepec, Guatemala. Mission Guatemala's Newest Feeding Program. Learn more at Mission Guatemala.

BAHAMAS

JCUMC partners with Bahamas Methodist Habitat by being a catalyst through disaster response and promoting community within The Bahamas.  In 2015, JCUMC sent two teams to the island of Euthera and partnered with James Cistern Elementary School by constructing a playground for the students to play on.  The project was coordinated by one of the girl scouts who is working on the Gold Award. Click here for more information on the playground project.
