Meet the Staff | Tracie Wein

Getting To Know… Tracie Wien
Financial Associate

It takes a village to run a church, especially one as active as Johns Creek United Methodist Church. The reason it runs so smoothly is because of our dedicated staff, so we wanted to help you get to know them a little better.

A Prayer for Tracie

Tracie Wien is our Financial Assistant.  We are thrilled that she will have been with us for one year this coming November.

Loving and Gracious God, We are so grateful for Tracie and for her spirit and gifts and abilities.  We thank you for her hard work, and we look forward to the shared work ahead!  We pray a blessing for her and her family.

We thank you for our church, and we lift up the finances of the church to you.  Guide us all as we make financial decisions and plans that will impact generations to come.  We love you, and we offer this prayer in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

How does your job benefit JCUMC ?

Cheryl and I ensure that the money coming into the church and the money spent are reported correctly. An accurate picture of the church’s finances is necessary to make good decisions for the future.

Tell us something that we at JCUMC don’t know about you?

I have an artistic side.  I enjoy painting with watercolors.

What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?

My favorite month is October.  The weather finally cools after a hot/humid  Georgia summer.  The trees’  leaves turn to brilliant shades of red and yellow.  The air is clear and the sky is a deep  blue.

What sound do you love?

Birds chirping in the morning.

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?

A Beatles concert! (Where I could hear them sing)

Tell us about a volunteer role you’ve served in in the past and what special feeling did that give you?

I volunteered for a patient support organization.  I felt so gratified when I was able to calm the fears of a newly diagnosed person with information and personal experience.

What are the positive changes you’re seeing JCUMC provide in our community and for our members?

Reaching out to the community.  Including non-members in events and activities.  Understanding that the demographics in the area is changing and how to engage those people.

Staff salaries are an important part of our budgeting process. This is one of the many reasons why your pledge is important. Your commitment and contributions allow us to maintain a hard working, dedicated staff.
