Meet the Staff | George Wilson

Getting To Know… George Wilson
Church Administrator & Recreation

It takes a village to run a church, especially one as active as Johns Creek United Methodist Church. The reason it runs so smoothly is because of our dedicated staff, so we wanted to help you get to know them a little better

A Prayer for George

Loving God. We give thanks for George and his commitment to reaching out to our community through sports and spiritual growth. May we always remember that our faith and connection can be passed on through many different outlets. Help us open up to all who come on to our campus. Amen.

If you had to leave your house within 5 minutes, what 3 things would you take and why?

Other than living people and pets.  I would grab my iphone, wedding album and my baseball cards.

Who would you want to meet from the past and/or future, and why?  Sorry, but God and Jesus are not available for consultation on this question as you know them already spiritually.

I would want to meet my paternal grandfather from 2000 years ago, as well as my grandson in 2000 years.

As you are in charge of the Recreation program, what sport would you be?

Paddleball, a game played with a wooden paddle, one wall, and a tennis ball.

Where do you see yourself in 15-20 years?

Holding Kate’s hand.

What is your favorite JCUMC moment/memory?

My first UMM men’s retreat at Glisson.  It was an privilege to connect with so many other men that shared a common faith walk.

What do you want your legend to be at JCUMC?

HUGS

What song, and/or lyrics, has influenced you most?

Kite and many other lyrics by U2
