Jam Ministry

Jam Ministers have welcomed literally hundreds of second-time and frequent visitors by making a personal visit to their homes to deliver a smile, information about the church… and of course a jar of delicious blackberry jam. The Jam Ministry is frequently cited by new members as one of the acts of hospitality that led to a decision to join JCUMC. What a way to help make disciples! The time commitment is minimal (once or twice per month) but the rewards are immeasurable. When someone from your own (or a very nearby) neighborhood identifies him or herself as a second-time or frequent visitor, a friendly Jam Assigner will get in touch with you with all the information you’ll need. You’ll pick up a pre-packed “jam bag” from the church and deliver it with a personal greeting. Everyone at JCUMC should be a Jam Minister!
