It is a tradition in the United Methodist Church for the congregation to present a Bible to students entering the 3rd grade. This is a very special time in the life of the congregation. The JCUMC congregation will present Bibles to the boys and girls next fall. The Bibles will be presented at the 8:30 a.m. worship service. Immediately following the 8:30 worship service, there will be a breakfast for the 3rd graders and their parents in the chapel (cost is $5.00 per adult, 3rd graders are our guest). We are asking that all siblings go to Sunday school during this hour so we can make this a special time for the 3rd graders.

The 3rd grades will have special Sunday school sessions to help them learn how to use their new Bibles, so we encourage you to bring them to Sunday school each week at 9:45 in the chapel.
