Dear Parents of Third Graders,

It is a tradition in the United Methodist Church for the congregation to present a Bible to students entering the 3rd grade. This is a very special time in the life of the congregation. The JCUMC congregation will present Bibles to the boys and girls on September 7th this year. The Bibles will be presented at the 8:30 a.m. worship service. We ask that your 3rd grader sit with you as a family. When it is time for the presentation, the students will be called to the Chancel Rail. After the presentation, the children will return to sit with their families.

The Trinity Choir will be singing on this day at 8:30 and will sit in the choir loft for the entire service. When it is time for the Bible presentation, they will come down from the choir loft to the Chancel rail.

Immediately following the 8:30 worship service, there will be a breakfast for the 3rd graders and their parents in the chapel (cost is $5.00 per adult). We are asking that all siblings go to Sunday school during this time so we can make this a special time for the 3rd graders.

Reservations are required for the breakfast so please complete this form and return it by August 24th.

This is a very exciting time in the life of the church and we thank you for your commitment to rearing your child with the Word of God!
