Small Groups Johns Creek UMC
What is a Small Group?
Spiritual growth doesn't only happen in corporate worship, but often happens in less formal gatherings like small groups. A small group typically meets on a weekly basis for fellowship, study, prayer, and reflection. Small groups of 6 to 12 people allow us to experience the purpose and power of Christ in our lives, dig deeper in our faith, and grow closer to God.
There are two ways to join a small group:
- Start with a new group at a Launch Event: Twice
a year, JCUMC will have a launch event. At the one hour launch, you'll learn what it means to be in a small group and meet others looking for the same type of group. Register today for the next launch on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at 12 pm, in the Gathering Room. a light lunch will be served and childcare will be provided. Please register below.
- Self-Start Groups: Do you have friends who are ready to dive deep into Christian study and have meaningful accountability? You can form a self-start group! It only takes 6 – 10 people who share the goal of becoming a more deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ to start a small group. Let the Small Groups Ministry team help you get started! We’ll meet with the group, cast the vision and provide the kickoff curriculum. To choose this option, please email us at SmallGroups@JohnsCreekUMC.org.
