Johns Creek Pipe Organ
Restoring the Legacy
One of the great musical voices of New York City and America was silenced on September 11, 2001. With your help, it will sing again — in this very sanctuary of Johns Creek United Methodist Church.
From 1961 to 2001, the mighty Aeolian‑Skinner pipe organ served as Trinity Wall Street Church’s (New York City) signature instrument. For forty years, people from all over the world heard the magnificent voice of this organ in worship and in concert.
Located mere blocks from the World Trade Center, the organ was moved to storage in the aftermath of 9/11 because of fears of damage from dust and debris. Now, after a decade, Trinity has graciously donated the massive organ to Johns Creek UMC for rebuilding.
